Energy conversion doubtt ! HELP ASAP.

I really get confused when they ask for energy conversion for eg hydroelectric to electric or chemical !!
and motor uses what and stuff like this
can you guys help me out ?:/

hydroelectric is when water fall are used to produce electricity with the help of a turbine.
for example
they built a dam and there is no water but when it rain water is stored as P.E. (potential energy)
and when the let this water flow a but it ruches down the hill and hit the turbine which
turn the turbine and produces energy
