English Composition Word Limit

I was wondering if we can pass the 500 word limit in question 2 paper 1 of English. Does anyone know whether it is allowed, as i always end up writing more than 500 words?

You should not exceed the word limit as the examiner would only check the part that lies within the limit and would award marks for that only, therefore it would be a waste of time and energy exceeding your writing. It is advisable to write within the given word limit.

are you sure about that? because i read that it was applicable in the summary in paper 2

I read this query in English book of Cambridge where it was stated that by writing too much one penalises himself as in this way you would leave less time for checking and other question so its advisable to write less but write a matter full of quality as quantity does not matter. If you exceed the word limit you are not following the instructions and its clearly stated ahead of question, therefore you must not avoid it.
Its good that you realize this problem early as now you can cope up by practicing to write within the limits.

The Question never FORCES you to write in the exact limit and so you can cross the word limit. However it can cause problems in the time management !! and can increase number of errors in your composition !!!!!!
