English literature unseen help needed

don't worry about it. some tips-
- practice all the past papers since the exam is a long time away
- find out which you can write about better-the prose or the poem
- but sometimes, there is a specific topic that interests you and you can write about it more easily
- treat the poem like any other poem that you have done for paper 1, ie. look for alliterations, personification, metaphors, themes, rhythm, the tone of the poet, etc.
- in prose, a lot of the times you need to analyse the language, eg. the characters - what impression you get of them, their personality by the way they act, talk, treat others.
---- the setting of the story, it is dark and therefore suggesting something sinister? or is it day light and spring - suggesting happiness, good times to come?
----- how the tension is build up by the language used and how does it make YOU feel? what is the effect? does it make you sympathize with a specific character or hate him/her?
------ Remember! don't forget to quote to give evidence for the things you are stating. Examiners love quotes!
------ Finally, it doesn't matter what you write as long as you are telling your feelings, thoughts and give evidence and HOW the language makes you feel this way. Examiners like to mark answers that are original and give a good insight.
