Basically as u say a fool i was one of them before but decided not to be one sooner rather then late !
for the pattern its like this
u have to read approx three to four book from the set books in the three categories PROSE,Poetry and Drama .

But in the qp u have to atleast answer from two sections the four compulsory questions its a little comnplicated but do see the syllabus here >
if u r giving in 2012 May june or Oct nov > http://xtremepapers.net/CIE/Cambridge%2 ... y12_sy.pdf
if u r giving in 2011 Oct session then here u are > cudnt fin syllabus :D :D :D :D

well its pretty hard i tell u that unless u are a person who can express himself without any problems and remember lots of stuff but the rewards are awesome if u get an A* u can easily get exams in impossible unis provided u have result in other subs !

Thanx man..i cant decide whether ur reply made me feel better or worse :) .infact a bit of both ..though better has denitely outnumbered worse. i've chosen this becuz i have a strong inclination towards literary works..(and i'm a closet writer/poet). although i cant kid myself and be smug about the exam..as it's more to it. however i felt a wee bit comfortable in seeing the past papers..from the looks of it ..seems that they provide an exerpt or passage before asking about our views on it..
still there's alot of work to be done!!alot but thanx again for the info man. :)
and the thing about expressing oneself..or herself in my case!
i know a thing or two abt that i can tell u .. but still

“Kinder the enemy who must malign us Than the smug friend who will define us”

well u see expressing ones self here means the way u will translate what info u know abt what the question is asking to very good written answer, its pretty difficult, believe me i gave these papers in my school as i tried to give them but i cudnt do it so i dropped it !
its like u know the whole story but the problem is how u will write it to make it interesting and good for examiners .
This paper is only for people who believe in them self and more importantly their grammar and can memorise the story and write in the paper what they want, sometimes its like this u know the whole story what the question asks but when u write u are writing utter nonsense. But since u are willing to go for it its okay for u to go provided u prepare very well !

Also a website especially for the plays of shakespeare, and almost all of literature works is this.
www.sparknotes.com

and

http://pinkmonkey.com/

i havent visited these sites for a long time but they will surely help u in your studies !

hi ..ofcourse i knew wot u meant by expressing oneself as in the paper...and by no means i'm entitled to bluff about this subject or any other for that matter..and i sure wasnt..the thing u just explained about knowing the whole structure and still not able to produce an answer to the examiner's desired effect..is precisely the thing i'm losing my peace of mind over..it's definetly very tricky.I'm biting off more than i can chew..since i'm studying math, isl along the course as well..and only a month away from the prospective papers.i'm so stressed that my brain has stopped responding to it..gone very comfortably numb.anyway so are you done with your o's?..so perhaps i can ask you for a little more help n info on islam n etc..p.s : thanx for the links.will check em out
