What is the advantage of end product inhibitors being non-competitive, rather than competitive?

non- competitive inhibitors will bind to the enzyme present in the start and therefore, will terminate enzyme chain reactions. end products themselves act as inhibitors and if they were competitive, decrease in end products would render useless the inhibition.

excuse me....i think decrease in end product comparative to substrate for the first enzyme in metabolic pathway will render the inhibition useless.....isn't it?
