Are gap year undergraduate university applicants at a disadvantage? If I give one or two A level subjects in my gap year will universities accept it?

Generally, students who take a gap year after college are not at any disadvantage.

Universities encourage a gap year not only to improve your grades but to enhance your skills and be better prepared for the university.

So if you're taking a gap year, you should consider the universities you're applying at and search for programs that suit you. You should prepare for courses offered in these programs probably by getting in touch with someone who is already in a program you're interested in. Your gap year should prepare you well for your freshman year. Do all this besides, of course, improving your grades and studying for the entry tests.

Hope that helps.

Every university offers different programs, such as, B.Sc. in different majors, B.A, BCSC/BCIT and so on.

If you want to pursue in computer science, you should be looking at B.S (Computer Science major) or BCIT or BCSC. Browse these programs in the universities' sites.
