What is water logging and Salinity?
and how is it harmful to agriculture

rise of water table is called is called water logging........
and when salty patches appears on ground that is salinity.....
they are harmful because no irri will be done and no agri will be done and it also causes soil erosion......
water logging also creates flooding........

the question above : sol erosion occurs because u cannot plant crops and the land is left uncultivated so water and wind removes upper layer of the soil causing soil erosion...basically where the is no plantation to hold the soil together soil erosion occurs which is a menace

Guys you forgot one thing.
Salinity decreases the Ph value of soil, thus making it difficult for plants to survive as the soil becomes acidic, and therefore they cannot grow in acidic soil.

Secondly, for mining oil and gas:
Firstly, a derrick (a huge steel structure is set up)
then it drills down pipes that clear out all the loose material and crush the rock
this is so that extraction is without any interference
then a pipe is set.
pressure is exerted through the pipe forcing oil and gas to rise to the surface
connected to these pipes are valves, these valves transport oil and gas to factories or places of requirement by pipelines.

how the hell can soil erosion cause the ph value to increase ??? and when u increase ph value u make the soil ALKALINE and LESS ACIDIC :X
