Grade boundaries

Does anyone have any ideas about the grade boundaries of pakistan studies and islamiat for m/j 2010

No ideas they are decided by CIE themself for Olevel but u could look in IGCSE for previous papers grade thresholds and see the papers difficulty and compare it with ours to get an approximate boundary as Olevels and IGCSE syllabus are almost same !!

80-89 = A
70-79 = B
60-69 = C

and less than that is unacceptable if u r giving CIE papers

Hey smbdy help plzzzz!!!i am confuzed hw cm ppl have soo many As or A*s i mean nt every one who tz dem has 90 or above i asked my sir he was an examiner for edexel fr bio and he sed dat they make their own grade limitz ppl have markz in late 70s cn even get an A it depends on da grade threshold is dat true???plz smone tell if u knw?? :sorry: :x :shock:

bro they use cumaltive frequency or frequency for deciding the grades..in simple words the hightest marks achieved is considered as 100 percent eg if in the whole world someone scores the highest marks in subject A which are 96 then it becomes the 100 percent and eg you take 90 marks then your grade would be calculated like this 90/96*100 which grants you an A star (94 percent)...i am tired of these grade/percentile/boundaries discussion..people pls search the forum before clogging it with repetitive topics

no.mercy thts not exactly how its dun.... cuz ppl get distinctions at 99% . hence cie doesnt consider the highest mark obtained as 100% :/ as far as i knw

lol..so those 99 percent are basically the one who achieved the highest marks like if the highest marks is 96 then 95 is the 99 percentile...anywayz i heard that 97+ becomes distinction

Imagine if the highest marks in a subject is 48 out of hundred!! That is then going to become 100% and the person will get a distinction!!!
