Grade expiry?!

Is there an expiration date for your grades for the equivalency?

For example.
You gave your AS papers in June 2011.
Then your A2 in Oct 2012.

Can your equivalency still be made?

Ive heard some people say this so was checking ..

I've also heard that if you appear in a session for AS then you have to appear maximum one year after that in A2. like if I appear in AS in winter session then maximum is gap could be upto next winter session. But its not confirmed
