i hav used it hardly three times......so just wanted to know that when using it how we are positioning it onto the part of slide which we wanna measure...are we moving the slide left-right or rotating eye-piece ...plxx clear me this doubt....and any other tip when using it

You have to do both; move the eye piece and the slide, too. Just try to bring the E.Ps graticule in line with the largest length of the speciemen on the slide when they ask you to measure the exact length. Moving the eye piece is more important when you are making a scale drawing. Then you can align the eye piece horizontally and then vertically to get the estimate of the ratio betwwen the lengths.

hmm u mean rotating eyepice just rotates that graticule scale making the job easier ........thanks.....
