Guys Tafseer is not part of the syllabus. This is a clause from the Syllabus for Islamiat P1 and tafseer is not there. So yeah, chill people, i t wont come..

2. The history and importance of the Qur’an
Candidates should study:
• the revelation of the Qur’an to the Prophet between the years 610 and 632
• the account of the compilation of the Qur’an under the Rightly Guided Caliphs
• the major themes of the Qur’an as contained both in the passages set for special study and in other
similar passages
• the use of the Qur’an in legal thinking, and its relationship with the Hadiths, consensus (ijma‘ ) and
analogy (qiyas)
• its significance as the basis of all thought and action in Islam

And thats it as far as the 2nd question of the paper is concerned..

bois and girlz tafseer IS part of the syllabus. Its in David Thomas's Book which is basiccally the book of all the pionts that CIE wants us to know. It's not that lnog a topic and btw it's kind of a part of Sources of Islamic Law as one cant understand the Quran without interprating it. So in short it can come

Note : @asadsaleem1995 BC i sent u the guess and u r still not paying attention. This year CIE may not give 2 a on History and Importance of Quran. They did the same in May/June 2009 p2 and gave a question on hadis teachings on communal life. Syllabus content ka ye matlab nahi hai k paper inhi cheeso mein se aye ga. It's basically the outline of the Syllabus NOT THE PAPER YOU IDIOT!

Four incidents:
-Treaty of Hudaibya
-treaty of Madina
-Letters to the king and the emperors
-Conquest of Makkah (?)

Death of Abu Talib:
-He was the uncle of the prophet leader of Banu Hashim and he supported Prophet Muhammad (saw)
- His authority would provide prophet Muhammad with certain degree of protection.(Give a contrast to how severe the Makkans got after his death)
-After his death Abu Lahab became the Cheif of banu Hashim and he was one of the bitterest enemy of Islam.
-Also he had fondness for Abu Talib as he was raised up by him.
- the year he died was named the year of sorrow

Thats till where I can help.
