guys do we get to write a letter in academic module?

I was visiting some websites regarding ielts prep, such as www.goodluckielts.com
and they had sections for letter writing, I thought we would only be asked to write 2 essays, do we have to write letters too? please someone explain with thorough explanation thanks ! a lot

I have just checked the same website
http://www.goodluckielts.com/2-4-1-IELTS_writing.html and it says that the academic module students write an essay for a table or diagram, so letter writing is not required for academic module candidates. phew.
