Guys hw does cambridge award A* for A level???????

I've been checkin websites bt found no exact answer on hw they calculate A* ,,, I mean there's no threshold 4 it in the gt so wat do u think?? ardon:

e.g A is on 42 and B ON 34....THEN A star on(42-34)+42=50..bt u dont get it in AS

I knw iam talkin about A level ,, bt my teacher told me tht sometimes they give an A* even if u didn"t get A in all components so do they take an add up the total mark and take average??

i think its supposed to be when ur average score of AS and A2 level is above 90
