Hard lamination on O level certificates

I made a big mistake by hard laminating my O level certificate.
Dont curse me for this

I want to know what is the procedure when i will have to go to IBCC for my equivalency certificate?
Will they accept the hard laminated certificate?
Moreover, is it true that we are required to get certificate attested by British Council before submitting to IBCC for equivalency certificate?

Your help would be highly appreciated

No, they wont. Your best bet it going to a photocopier, explaining to him the importance of the issue and asking him to remove it carefully such that it doesn't damage the certificate.

What if in case the certificate is damaged?

They don't, usually, ever, but I'm no authority on this and may be wrong.

the british council might re-issue your certificate for a fee, contact them.
