HELP BIO AS LEVEL REPEATING THE EXAM

I got a C in bio AS even though I worked really hard and did as many past papers as I could, i got A's in my other 3 subjects, but somehow ended up with a C in this. :/ And if that wasnt depressing enough, I got my component grades and apparently i got a C in all of the papers ; paper 1, 2 AND 3. I am at a loss as to how in the world that happened, nevertheless, im repeating it in oct/nov (just a month away) and would like if i could get some tips as to how to prevent getting a bad grade again
