in the very centre u will c that pear shaped small thing that is fatter from the right side and elongated(pointy) from the left
so the long nd thin left side is radicle nd the thicker side on the right is plumule

pericarp , my friend , is the outer most wall i.e the fruit wall .

the small pointed thing in the center is the embryonic axis, that is the upper part will be the radicle and the lower part will be the plumule. And pericarp is the fruit wall and has nothing 3 do with the seed.

In 1(b), why is time on the y-axis?

here , time is dependant whereas surface area is independant.
the greater the surface area, lesser the time taken.
