In the biology syllabus, it says in the supplement column
( explain why antibiotics kill bacteria but not viruses )
What`s the answer?

because antibiotics stops the building of the cell wall..but the viruses doesn't have a cell wall,
but the bacteria does, so we always take antibiotics when we're sick to defend against secondary bacterial infection.

this is because antibiotics kill the bacteria by destroying cell wall
and viruses dont have a cell wall this means that antibiotic is only effective against bacteria not viruses
moreover some bacteria get resistance as the strain for resistance can easily be interchanged between them

i think this is antibiotics have specific chemicals that kill bacterias but viruses are killed by antiviruses. :idea:

hahaha guys antivirus 2 kill viruses un d ecosystem do not exist viruses r killed by medicnes n dy r nt called antiviruses..regarding antibiotics dy destroy d cell wall of d bacteria n thereby help d lymphocytes in engulfin d bacteria but if d course of antibiotics precribed by d dr is not completed sum bacteria dnt die n develop tolerence 2 dose antibiotics!!!!
