help in graphs

Hh,
In biology or chemistry graphs sometimes the graghs information does not fit the grid given so should I start every scale with zero or this is not too important ? can i just start with the numbers given .

it is a must for a graph to cover atleast half of the grid. if the values are big enough so no need to start from zero!!

OF COURSE YOU CAN START WITH ANY NUMBER..you should only start with 0 if the scale or numbers given are small, not that big e.g 1,2,3,4,5,6 but if you find numbers like 178,179,180 and you started with 0 the graph won't cover 10% of the grid. You should at least cover 50%
