A car of mass 1900 kg accelerates from rest to a speed of 27ms–1 in 8.1 s.
(i) Calculate the average rate at which kinetic energy is supplied to the car during the acceleration.

Kinetic Energy = 1/2 mv^2

so therefore, 1/2(1900) x 27^2
= 692550 J
Power = Energy/Time

= 692550/8.1
=85500
= 8.55x10^4
