how do we knw whether to include a constant A when writing the expanded form for partial fraction...

There are a few conditions:

When the denominator is linear:

yh...but in J 08 P3 No. 7(i), the denominator is linear...still in the mark scheme an A is introduced out of nowhere...why..?
