Assalamoalaikum!! :)

I'm too confused as in how to start preparing for my A levels! I know I shouldn't be waiting for the last moment to start ofcourse! :unknown:

I've four subjects: Maths ; Biology ; Chemistry ; Physics , and I will InshaAllah be appearing for full A level in the May/ June 2012 session for these subjects!

To be honest, Biology is my weak point. I'm not really sure that I don't know it but atleast I feel it's just that I lack confidence!

Maths, Alhumdulilah, is a subject I like and I can do it so I can somehow manage to spend less time for it! InshaAllah!

Chemistry and Physics are both good for me, but ofcourse that doesn't really mean I can ignore them, because whatsoever, I cant compare them with Maths :D

Can somebody help me prepare a revision timetable, so that I can cover all the revision of AS in like 3 weeks?! :Search: :)

All suggestions welcome ;)
Jazak Allah Khair! 8)

W.S! =)
Take a piece of paper and write down the days of all those 3 weeks on which you plan to study. Place the tasks you have to do underneath each day. Do not give yourself incentives like 'study Biology for 1 hour'. Instead appoint tasks that you need to cover for that day and ensure you fulfil them because it's always the work you put into the hours, not the hours you put into the work. Time incentives are difficult to follow anyway! :p
Obviously, focus more on your weak points/subjects/topics. You may like to get over them first to get the pressure off your head and then move to areas you feel comfortable about. Doing one subject all day long is not a good idea in my opinion. To break the monotony, give yourself varied tasks (from different subjects). As you find Maths interesting, you may practice it between intervals of other subjects to ward off boredom! =P :)

For AS levels, you can always consult the black books and revise the topics that you have forgotten. Plus, your school notes are always usefull. Just start with one subject for now and try to finish preparing for it by reading the book, making notes and practicing questions. Past papers are not necessary yet, so just go for the excercises in the books.I will always suggest you to study one subject daily when preparing for exams, this allows you to concentrate fully and you don't waste time switching subjects. The only time you can alternate between subjects in a day is when you are practicing past papers and you can do that when you are once done with the book and notes reading. So you can reserve the last of the three weeks for past papers and then you can practice Maths along, too. I am sure Maths revision will not take more than 2-3 hours, from there it's all about practice.
As far as Biology is concerned, you may follow my example of studying it: since, it's a total learning subject, I make my own notes while reading the book. So much so that sometimes I have half the chapter in the book, written in my copy. At times, I also photocopy the diagrams in the book and paste them in my copy for my own convenience. Writing all important points allows me to learn what I have read, and then what I wrote sticks in my mind. If I forget anything, I just consult my notes because I know that they don't have anything missing. This note making requires alot of patience, with only 10 pages covered in an hour or two but once you have completed this process you can be assured of the perfect ROTE learning.

Hope this helped. :)
