i need help with Q:1 (d) of Biology P 31 June 2009

In carrying out this investigation the student made the hypothesis that:
The activity of the enzymes in yeast increases as temperature increases.
(d) State whether you think that this hypothesis is supported by the student’s results.
Explain your answer.

Please help..

yes the student's hypothesis is correct for the range of temperature he investigated not always cos there is no data above 40 deg...explanation will refer to greater collision frequency leading to more E-S complexes forming per unit tym.....and thus corresponding to increase in enzyme activity

in these questions one mark is for yes or no or partly correct...if hypothesis is wrong then there is 1 mark for stating correct hypothesis....and reasoning..related to theory

but i dont understand one thing...does that mean we wont go beyond the points we p;ot when drawing the line of best fit??

and how can we say it's only true b/w 15 and 40...i mean there's no evidence that the trend will not be followed beyond the range 15 - 40!! :unknown:
