Help needed in history Question!! - URGENT

i have problem in history question. The question is :-

Q Was the Cripps Mission of 1942 the most important factor during the 1940s that led to the partition of the sub-continent in 1947? /14

I think we have to write Cripps mission and its importance (why it is imp factor that led for partition)
then in next paragraph Gandhi-Jinnah Talks and its imp
and in last paragraph Cabinet Mission Plan and its imp

The Judgement will be that cabinet mission plan was most imp

But when i saw its marking scheme it was written to include Simla Conference. I dont think so its imp because it has nothing to do when the creation on Pakistan? Plz help me it this !!

first of all , its upto you. The marking scheme is not definite . it's just there to show the examiners how to check the paper . The examiners check your paper according to the meeting that is held before checking begins . So include what you think is right and even if the marking scheme doesn't include your point , don't think it isn't right!

Second thing is that you have to include 5-7 factors for a 14-mark question . The marking scheme says , at least three! But this is a judgement . You have to provide information and make a judgement on your own . So it's better to include 5-7 factors to support your answer rather than writing short answers with only 3 factors .

I was also confused in this Q. I included Simla Conference and 1945-46 elections in one paragraph and explained their significance to partition as well. You're right, that's how we're supposed to answer this Q but explain more factors to stay on the safe side.
Can anyone please explain me the significance of Cabinet Mission Plan and its contribution to partition?

cabinet mission helped to go toward partition because nehru said that nobody will be bounded by cabinet mission terms once british would leave they will not be bound by anything. due to this jinnah and muslim league doubled their efforts for partition and british and inc also realized that if partition would not occur so there would be a great civil war
