yea it is 1123, i was confused because my teacher told me to write first points in favour and not in favour after that to write 160 words continuous summary.Hello,
I assume you're talking about paper coded as 1123.
By the answers that people have given above, I'm not quite sure they're aware of the current paper pattern. But here goes..
Well, the Paper 1 has two comprehension passages given at the very beginning. Question one requires you picking up the points from the first comprehension and just putting it down in the space given. (This NEED NOT be in your own words, more like what we call 'copy-paste'), ironically, this question consists of a whole 15 marks. So considering you've picked up legit points, without repetition, you can bag 15 marks right in the first question!
Ok now, the second question. Summary. What you've got to do here is make a summary out of the points you've gathered in Question 1, but you have to write the summary down in your own words. This ought to be a continuous paragraph of not more than 160 words, meaning no it cannot be just points. Also your ability to mash together points wherever the need, will be assessed. The only problem I find while doing this part is that I usually run past the word limit, which is prohibited. Lastly, the summary consists of 5 marks. If you have correctly picked up the points in the first question, and have successfully put them together in 160 words, you'll be good to go.
Hope I helped. Goodluck.
