If your appearing through school , ask your school to give you one. They provided me mine!

I sat for my Sociology paper with the wrong Statement of entry. But I gave it privately and I had my Passport with me. They may allow you to sit for one paper without the id. card, but you have to show it to them later, or else they wont send ur paper to get checked.
