1. Ferozepur, a Muslim majority province was given yo India
2. Gurdaspur, another Muslim majority province was given to india
3. Calcutta was also surrounded by Muslim areas but was given to India

The first reason was Muslim majority areas were given to India because of long distance from Pakistan.And the head-works of many rivers where given to India
