since the smoke particles are larger now collisions will tend to average out.........this means that the no of collisions on one side will be averaged out by the no of collisions on the corresponding opposite end.......due to this there ll be less jerky motion

resistor and internal resistance are in series with each other.......so higher the p.d across R lower the p.d across internal resistance and hence less power genrated
