actually i'd d same doubt so i inquired an elite uni.'s professor n according to him phy isnt essential unless u enjoy it and r gud at d subject.
wat it requires is mathematics, arts and a humanities subject like history in his wrds.

almost every type of engineering Physics and maths are essential. maths you already have. so what remains is physics.it deals with all types of branches of engineering.
