Though my solution to this question may come a bit too late for you, it can be of help to other students in future. Would you mind if a make a video solution and give you the link to it? Meanwhile you might want to read a report on Mechanics 1. The report reveals why most students find mechanics 1 such a nuisance. It identifies 4 MISTAKES that students make and most importantly what they can do about it. On this site you will also get a sample of the video solution that I am talking about. Hope this is useful.
