How do we get our overall grade in exam?

I have a doubt.
Is it all based on GT for each component of the paper or calculate the total mark of the paper according to the weightage of each component?
Let say for Chem, I have B in paper 1, A in Paper 2 and B in Paper 3, what will be the grade I get?

I am also confused in this regard. Do they just add up the marks we obtained in all the components or calculate each component's marks according to the weightage allotted to it, e.g. if I get 70 in Chem P4, would they just add 70 or calculate the percentage by applying 46/100*70 (P4 carries 46% weightage I guess).

Could somebody please answer?
