In biology the sum of the 3 components : paper 1, paper 3 and paper 6 is 160. But the mark scheme says the total raw marks is 200 !! HOW ??

ur rytSee they convert the marks to a total of 200. Example: Paper 1 is out of 40 and lets say you get 32/40 so that would mean 80% since paper 1's weight-age is 30% it is converted into 60 (30% of 200) so that 32/40 you got will be turned into a 48/60 (equivalently 80%). Next is paper 3 which has weight-age of 50%, so if you get 64/80 (80% again) it would be converted into 100 (50% of 200). So you will get 80/100. Finally its paper 6 which has a weight-age of 20%. But for paper 6 since it is already 20% of 200 it won't be converted so lets say you get 32/40. 48+80+32=160 that is your mark out of 200. If this helped like this post!
