How to Cut an Oversized T-Shirt

Place the Cool Shirts on a flat work surface with the front facing up.

Cut the hem from the bottom edge of of the T-shirt as high as necessary to make the T-shirt your desired length.

Set the removed hem aside for later use.

Cut the ribbed collar off, if desired, and make the neckline look the way you want it by shaping it carefully with the scissors.

Cut the hem from the bottom edge of the sleeves of the T-shirt at the desired length for the sleeves.

Try the T-shirt on. While you are wearing the shirt, place pins at the point of your natural waistline at each side seam of the T-shirt.

Take the shirt back off carefully. Lay the T-shirt out on the flat work surface with the back side facing up.

Measure 4 inches in from the side seams toward the back center at the point you placed the pins, and place a small mark at each point. Make a 1/2-inch vertical slit at both points.
