how to get an A*???

Hi guys,,,i am an a-level edxcel student,,i take bio nad chem and am doing AS and A2 in both..can u guys plz tell me how much marks am supposed to get for an A* or A in both the subjects above..am talking about the total marks for both the papers..am doing the alternative papers for bio,ie paper 3B and 6B,,and for chem i did the practical papers..so plz provide any info u have...thanx to all those who answer..
