So, how was the paper? Other than that relative velocity and combination question it was fine!

What were your answers?

I had 9820 for the last part of combination, and 144 and 240 and 720 above that.

For relative velocity, my time was 1830 and t was 2.5.

And the value of A was pie/9 in that integration question. I didn't recheck ._.

it was like this:twins must not be separated so 2 cases
one in the grp other not in the grp
For first case it was 18C4 and second one 16C6
and simply add them to get the number of combinations for choosing the grp

Nah, i don't think so.

There were 18 total students. So if you add both of them to the group. There will be 16 left, from which you will choose 4. So 16C4.
AND THE OTHER OPTION. Exclude both of them from the group.
That leaves 16 behind, and we have to choose 6 from them. So 16C6.

Total= 16C6 + 16C4 = 9820.

What do you think?

yeah u r right....but i think i made an amendment perhaps it was my first trial or sth but i did later chng it to 16 so yeah 9820 is correct..
Yeah 9820 was the amended answer...dont know why it got stuck in my head :p

You said 18C4 instead of 16C4 in your post :/

And are the other combination answers right?

wht abt the last question

Well, had two answers.
And the other previous two trignometric ones, were easy. I factorized, and equated them. Then calculated basic angle and stuff.

One of them was 270... but that was the only answer in that trignometric ratio.. right?

What about relative velocity?

What were the answers for A? In that integration. I got pie/9 something :/

And differentation? I got 1930 as the area, and minimum point. Had to use cosine rule in circular measure to prove theta angle. And then 48.7 perimeter, and then what about area?

1390 or 1930 i guess uhavemade a transposition errer in ur post or was ur answer 1930?

Maybe 1390. I differentiated and equated it to zero. Then put the value in the equation to get minimum value. Correct?
And then i used second derivate to prove the minimum nature

What about That sketching absolute curve? What was k? I wrote k>3.125

Are there marks for steps?
