it was harder than may june 2012I don't know how much marks I lost because I don't know all the answers. Would you please recall and write down a many answers as you can remember. Ill tell you my marks then. I expect the GT to be around 38
Its absolutely right, i did the same and confirmed it with my teacher. For the 5th question
I did it like this- part a) no restrictions-12P8 or 12!/4!- consider blank seats as repitition= 19958400
b) if we consider the 2 to be together, we form 11 blocks. - 11! Ways. However 4 blank seats so count that as repition
So 11!/4!. Now multiply by 2 as 2, within the first block there can be two arrangements so2*11!/4!= 3326400
Now subtract from part a to get 16632000
c) all 8 people together- consider them to be 0ne block. Within can be arranged in 8! Ways. Along with 4 other blocks can be arranged in 5! ways. However 4 repititions so 8!*5!/4!= 8!*5=201600
Is this correct?
And after you have seen the answers, What do expect your mark to be. And by the way How was you Pure 3 paperI don't know how much marks I lost because I don't know all the answers. Would you please recall and write down a many answers as you can remember. Ill tell you my marks then. I expect the GT to be around 38
do you mean % or 65 out of 75 ?if i get 65 in P1, 40 in M1, 55 in p3 and 25 in s2..what will be my grade?
all are correct with exception of 5b par ii and iii, where i made careless mistakes, and in the last part it was not independent, i did prove that 441 was common to both but couldnt express the equation.I think all your answers are correct and for the last question, You are given P(X=9) and all what you need is to calculate the P(product of 3 scores = 16) and multiply it by the later one and state that this is not equal to their intersection
