Although an electric heater is safer than an open flame, a water bath is still always used. It makes the experiment much more safe and since the boiling point of ethanol never exceeds that of water there is no reason to not use it.electric heater ?? no ?
Well I don't know if an electric heater can be used but I have always seen ethanol being heated in a water bath.Me 2 wrote Electric Heater!
