How would CIE determine grades above an A ?

Let's say the maximum raw mark for a paper is 75 but to get an A you need 63/75 and to get a B you need 55/75. How would you determine the mark required for 90% in that paper .. or perhaps it does not work that way ? :/

the difference between A and B is 8, so add 8 to 63 that is 71
so minimum mark to get an A is 71!
