IB's equivalency?

Is the IB Higher Level Physics qualification equivalent to the CIE A Level Physics qualification? Or will they be treated as different qualifications with differing levels of difficulty and credit? :/

Treated as same with regard to university applications and stuff. Roughly any SL subject = AS and higher = A2

So will having an A Level Physics qualification and an IB HL Physics qualification increase my chances of getting into the university, or will it make insubstantial difference?

No difference. Or else people would do a level+ib+ap just because it covers the same stuff to increase their chances.
