look this is an extra digit added at the end of a product bar code number or the ISBN number of a book to check the validity of the data and it will be calculated from the original number

Expert system
- A list of questions appears on the user interface/screen
- The user types in the answers for those questions
- The inference engine matches the answers with the knowledge base using rules base
- The system suggests a possible diagnosis
- The system suggests probabilities that it is correct
