IGCSE Cambridge subjects confusing....

Hi There!
I am newbie to Cambridge exams. I am familiar with Edexcel. I am here for some questions regarding Cambridge Exams.
I want to know how many papers do i sit for each subject? To be more specific, in EDEXCEL each subject is only two separate papers. Like Physics and Chemistry, the first papers is out of 120 marks and the duration is 2 hours. The second paper is 60 marks and the duration is a hour . If you are sitting for IGCSE Physics, then you will only take that two papers separately. In EDEXCEL each subjects is only two papers. So, may i know, in Cambridge how many papers do i take for a single subject? I want to sit for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography and English.
I also want to know when the exams are due. If any link of text book is offered me, it will also help me.
If you grant me this information, i will be highly appreciated. Please include your comments with any information that you think will be valuable (helps me.

Dear brother, thanks once again. You offered most of the information i needed but kindly, could i please ask some more questions? I have seen past papers of CIE exams and during download i have seen so many papers, approximately 60 separate papers each having its own link for download. In EDEXCEL when you click one of the links of Past papers, you will only see two links. One of them is the papers which is only two question papers and the second one contains only two of Mark Schemes. So, when i clicked the link of IGCSE CIE past Papers, i have found many links which made me rather suspicious. I don't know which is Mark Scheme and which is the question papers. So, please my question is, what are that very many links and which will be the papers? I would also like to ask you about the marks of each of the above mentioned subjects (i mean what is the total mark of each subject)? Does the papers contain practicals? If yes, is it compulsory to be taken? When are the exams due? (At what time is taken each year?).
