IGCSE ESL listening help

I'm a lil bit bad in ESL listening, sometimes I lose marks in spelling and sometimes I miss out what is being said because I still haven't answered the question before that question or haven't filled in the blank space, specially in interviews :/
Could you please tell me if CIE will cut marks in spelling mistakes and small mistakes?
And please give me some tips so I can improve myself
