Hey, i'm in year 9 doing igcse and was wondering if it is necessary for me to do english second language cus i'm pakistani. What is the reason for this cus many pakistani's say we must but why?

English is a must for igcses, but you can choose between first and second language. People are encouraged to go for second language because the paper is supposedly easier and also the grading is more lenient than first. But if you are planning to go for further studies to UK, then it is advisable to take first language.
