plz can anybody help me in this question it is on may/june 2009 in paper 1 biology question 39 i cant understand it plz can anybody help me

39 The diagram shows the positions of four farms and the concentrations of nitrate at different points
in a river.
Which farm is likely to have been using too much fertilizer on its land?

I hope this is the qst u r talking about.

Well the first thing is to see the direction of flow of the river, it's is flowing from the 'left' to the 'right' ..... on the graph the highest concentration is recorded on the point to the left of farm C. For a moment one may think that this is the answer. But this cannot be! This is because if the river is flowing from the left to the right it must have come from farm A by being dissolved in the water. If it was from farm C then it must be on its right not left. Therefore, the answer to your qst is "FARM A".

Help has arrived!

Without a doubt, it is Farm A
If you take a closer look, the bar with the highest concentration points at the part before Farm C, and the water flows from the left.
My teachers told me not to take questions as if they're extremely difficult, so try looking at a question as if it's a normal question, and the answer will always be there!
