Every teacher sends in to Cambridge how much she/he expects you to get. So Let's say for A* the curve is 170 and you get 167, and your estimated mark is A*, they will help you with those few marks.

This s not true. The predicted grades have no influence on the final grade.

dude in that case i know many of my friends who were very much intelligent and there expected grades were all A*.they all ended up getting As.
