In what way answers should be written in Economics???

I'm really confused over Economics answers. In what way do we have to answer the questions? Crisply or elaborately ? Just now I came through marking schemes of paper 2..... seriously
they were crisp and up to the point. But my teacher said we have to write the answers elaborately. Economics is not the subject I would score an A*..... at least am aiming for B or an A.
