International A And AS Level

hello every1 im new here in this A AND AS LEVEL FORUMS.
I JUST WANTED SOME INFORMATION
IM CURRENTLY GOING TO FINIS MY IGCSE'S IM PLANNING TO GO FOR A LEVELS BUT IS THERE ANY CATEGORY OR ANY OTHER DIVISONS OF A LEVEL THAT I SHOULD KNOW. LIKE CAMBRIDGE HAS IGCSE AND O LEVEL FOR ARE FOR THE 10TH YEAR. IS THERE ANY DIVISION FOR A LEVEL AND AS LEVELS.

ARE A LEVELS SUBJECTS SAME 4 ALL
LIKE MATHS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY.

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME!

there is a board called Ed EXCEl and it offers A levels too, However CIE is the more popular and common of the two. wht do u mean by subjcts being same? :/

I MEAN ARE THE STUDENTS TAKING THE SUBJECT SUCH AS BIOOGY,MATHS AND CHEMISTRY THE SAME FOR ALL STUDENTS IN THE WORLD. OR DIFFERENT

BTW SO THERE ARE BASICALLY TWO TYPES OF A LEVELS ONE IS THE CIE AND THE OTHER IS THE EDEXCEL.
SO WHICH SHUD I TAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS!

if u're going for medicine then u hav to take bio, chem and phys
u can take minimum of 3 subjects

I've heard that Biology is not very important, but Chemistry sure is.

BIOLOGY? The other day there were these people in school, they were promoting Monash and they told that Biology is not very important. But an A for Chemistry is a must!!

i get wht ure trying to ask. well. yes thre r two ways u cud giv ur a levels. ppl ed excel and CIE. as i said CIE is the more common and popular of the two. anyways, as far as ur subject choices is concerned, look, evrything depends on ur choice of university. the university u intend to apply to..find out all about it. find out whether majority of medical unis r okay wid u not doin bio....which i think is less likely...usually the three science subjcts plus math is a great combo for all scienc fields particularly medicine....and if ure aiming at something high like aga khan,,,u will need to hav a cutting edge . plus they will most probably require all 3 sciences im not sure chek dat out though
also certain medical unis (including aku) require SAT II scores. u might want to chek dat out as well.

SO UR SAYING FOR MEDICAL THREE OF THE SCIENCE SUBJECTS ARE COMPULSORY?
BUT THE SCHOOL IM GOING ARE ONLY GIVING THREE I.E CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY AND MATHS, THEY SAID I CUD CHNGE THE SUBJECT LATER, SO WHICH 1 SHUD I CHANGE OR NOT CHANGE SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!

for medical u must hav biology and chemistry and the 3rd one can be either physics or maths
but again, that depends on universities, what they require

exactly. u need to chek first. id say dont drop math even if it isnt a requirement, ull realise y
