hey brothas !!!
i want help in the islamiat 10 mark question as i cant get marks higher than 7 or 8 !!!
what exactly is required in the "describe" questions ???

Brother do not worry lol.
This is what is required in a 10 mark question:-
1) Introduction. always give some background to it. e.g battle of Badr you lightly tell about caravan.
2) Main body. Explanation needed? doubt it but here you go: you must give an account of the questions requirements. Do not make it longer than 1 page. Relate to the background and remember to connect all points.
3) Conclusion. Do not abruptly end an answer. Carry it on a bit e.g tell that this many prisoners of war were taken in Badr etc and this many casualties
4) References. These should be scattered around the question. they are necessary for the last few marks. e.g in badr you would add that the Muslims were given permission to fight back through an ayah of the Quran which said: Permission to fight has been given to the oppressed. Hadith can also be given e.g the prophet strictly said that no women or children or people who surrender are to be harmed

Note that not all answers contain references such as the caliphs in P2 but nearly all of those in P1 contain them.
