Guys is it necessary to write down Surah name and verse number after stating the Quranic references? and writing the hadith source (Bukhari, Mulim) while writing a hafith??????
Also writing references with black pen to highlight it is necessary???

Having a quick look at latest marking scheme here https://papers.xtremepape.rs/CAIE/O Level/Islamiyat (2058)/2058_s19_ms_11.pdf,
it says for Question 5a, "Candidates could also refer to any Qur’anic ayats relating to these events (9:20; 9:100; 9:117; 59:8–9)".

So it isn't mandatory but can be used where necessary.

and highlighting with black adds no value to the strength of your argument/answer so it would be a waste of time...
