What is the difference between magnetic flux and magnetic flux linkage?
And what is the formula of magnetic flux? In some books it is BAcos(theta) but elsewnere it is BAsin(theta) ?

If the angle is of the field with the plane of coil it is sine. If the angle is of field with normal to coil it is cosine.

Magnetic flux = B x A where B is magnetic flux density and A is the Area of coil...

Magnetic flux linkage = n x Φ where n is the number of turns of coil and Φ is magnetic flux ...

Magnetic flux is maximum when the plane of coil is perpendicular to the magnetic field ... i.e.... angle b/w magnetic field lines and plane of sheet is 90* so sin90 = 1 ... that is maximum flux ...here the formula becums Φ = BAsinθ

If you draw a perpendicular line to the area of the sheet ... the angle b/w the perpendicular magnetic field lines and the normal to the sheet is zero ... here you'll use cosθ since cos0 = 1 or again maximum flux... the formula in this case is BAcosθ...

hope tht helps :)

don't get confused, an easy way to know the difference is its formula;
Magnetic flux= B x A
Magnetic flux linkage = B x A x N
therefore, magnetic flux is the product of magnetic field strength and the area normal to the lines of flux.
MAgnetic flux linkage is the product of magnetic flux and the number of turns in a given coil normal o the lines of flux.

hope this make u clear.

the formulas are right here ,a thing that i would like to add is that sin and cos depends on the angle provided
