Math Paper 4, Map Scales.

Hey everyone, I just needed to ask about map scales, I never get the questions correct, and they haven't asked it in recent years. If some one can please help me, and quick because the exam is on Monday, I would really appreciate it.

Math Paper 22 was really easy, I hope I get a high mark. But I need to ace Paper 4 Insha'allah.

If map scales isn't included in this year's syllabus, can someone please inform me.

I think it may come in the first section or question
But its quite easy, dont worry
I can give you an example
A man wants to travel to Egypt from Italy
It is represent on the map that this distance is 7cm
Find the actual length if the ratio was 1:2000000000(2 billion) Find in km

You just need to cross multiply and find. You will get the anser in cm. convert this to km by dividing to 100000(one hundred thousand)

The most common mistake could be not converting to km.
